Privacy

This page says what we store, who else touches it, and how to get rid of it. It describes the site as it actually works.

What we store

  • Your account: your email address and a hashed password. We never store the password itself and cannot read it.
  • Your subscription: which plan you are on, whether it is trialing, active or cancelled, and when the current period ends.
  • What you set up in the product: the countries on your watchlist and, if you create one, a hash of your API key. The key itself is shown once and not kept.
  • Newsletter signups: the email address you gave us and the date, so the weekly briefing can reach you and so an unsubscribe sticks.

All of it lives in a Postgres database hosted by Neon. We do not collect anything about you beyond this, and we do not buy data about you from anyone.

Who else processes it

  • Stripe handles payments. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never touch our servers — we only ever see the subscription status Stripe reports back.
  • Resend sends our email: sign-in links, billing notices, watchlist alerts and the weekly briefing. Every briefing carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
  • Google Analytics 4 measures traffic — pages viewed, roughly where from, and which links get clicked. It is aggregate reporting, not per-person profiling, and we do not run ad networks or send anything to data brokers.
  • Cloudflare sits in front of the site as CDN and edge, so it handles every request before we do.

Cookies

Two kinds, and no others. A session cookie that keeps you signed in — without it there is no way to stay logged in — and Google Analytics 4 cookies used to count visits. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this site.

Deleting your data

Email [email protected] from the address on the account and we will delete it, along with your watchlist and API keys. Ask the same way for a copy of what we hold, or with any question about this page. Billing records that Stripe has to keep for its own accounting stay with Stripe.

To stop the emails without closing the account, use the unsubscribe link on any briefing.

Changes

If what we store or who processes it changes, this page changes with it. See also the terms.
