Quantamentry, in brief

Quantamentry scores sovereign credibility and macro fundamentals daily for 169 emerging and frontier markets — built entirely on free, public data.

It is a seven-dimension, 0–100 composite that reads whether a central bank's stated policy stance is backed by its actual data — inflation-target delivery, Taylor-rule discipline, communication versus action, geopolitical pressure, growth, liquidity, and governance. Every input is a free public series, every score is recomputed daily, and every revision is archived from first-seen so a score can be read as it looked on any past date, not just today's restated number. The methodology is open and the per-indicator sources are shown on every country page — no black box.

How it's built — where the data comes from

Every input series is free and publicly licensed for re-use. No proprietary terminal feeds, no paid data contracts.

  • World Bank (incl. Worldwide Governance Indicators)
  • IMF (WEO, IFS, PortWatch shipping AIS, Commodity Terms of Trade)
  • BIS
  • FRED
  • OECD
  • ILO
  • GDELT
  • European Central Bank
  • Eurostat
  • Ember (electricity generation)
  • NASA Black Marble nightlights (via World Bank)

Raw IMF and BIS series are never redistributed directly — only derived indicators (scores, gaps, blended growth pulses) leave the pipeline, which keeps every source inside its display/redistribution terms. Every observation is stored with a first-seen timestamp, so later revisions accrue as new rows rather than overwriting history — the basis of the point-in-time vintage archive behind every score.

What this is — and isn't

A transparency-first, data-grounded read of sovereign macro credibility — not a rating agency, not investment advice.

  • Not a sovereign-default probability. It doesn't model the odds a government fails to pay its debt, and it doesn't touch debt sustainability or market pricing directly.
  • Not an ESG or political rating. No environmental, social, or governance-in-the-ESG-sense component; no scoring of elections or human rights.
  • Not investment advice. One input among many in any decision, not a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything.
